Space between Pavers?

| Im putting in a Patio this weekend using 18" "Yorkstone" concrete pavers from Lowes. They dont seem to have any spacer lugs on them. What would be the appropriate spacing between these to sweep sand into?

| As wide as you want ... up to the point where it makes walking on them difficult because your heels sink into the gaps. |
