Polymeric Sand - Please Help!!!

Posted by roorezzi Poconos (My Page) on

Hi Everyone. We are about to get the polymeric sand for the natural stone walkway we have built. I have a question. The path leads from the driveway area to the front concrete steps. There is a "dip" on the edge of the driveway that was where the old walkway was. It leaves a strange gap and I am not sure if I can put polymeric right next to the asphalt driveway.

I attached the best picture I could find on it. If I can't use the polymeric - does anyone have any other ideas?

Also - is it ok to put the polymeric next to the foundation and concrete steps?

the dip is on the right hand side - furthest from the house.

I think you might want to use Envirostone, not polymeric sand. Polymeric sand is for tight joints, and envirostone is used for flagstone paths.

Kristine (who has been researching this for her own flagstone path!)

Here is a link that might be useful: Envirostone

Does the picture show the finished product or an intermediate stage?

Is the wheelbarrow green or blue. What kind of advice were you looking for rooizza: yes use the polymeric sand. Does that work for you?
