Wow! That's a really nice wall. Well, the whole yard is beautiful, but since this is the stone forum, I was here because I really like stone. I've built a few short retaining walls around my yard, but I use roundish field stone. I love the look of both kinds, but yours looks much easier to stack. You did and excellent job of stacking neatly. Thanks for sharing your pictures!

Thank you! All the stone you see was dug up when we made the terraces, except for the really large pieces that made the steps, those we bought...we are still working on it where it wraps around to the driveway...I might be 80 when we're done, lol

This forum is so quiet, but I still visit every so often. Yes, that is beautiful work, good job. Did you post in the beginning stages? Seems to me I remember this terrace in progress. Your plantings are beautiful, too.

Wow - I LOVE your yard! Great job!!! Really enjoyed my virtual visit. I have to figure out a better way to transfer my pics from facebook to here. Unfortunately, that's not possible. You can link to individual pictures, or to your FB album. There was no FB when GardenWeb started but there was, and people still use, photo-sharing sites for sharing gardening pics. That way allows you to share without sharing your name and FB info.
