RE: looking for a great book...

Two books dealing with dry-stacking walls, mortaring, paving and carving stone are by author David Reed. (I just quoted this in another posting, sorry for being repetitious)
Anyway, they are:
The Art & Craft of Stonework
The Art & Craft of Stonescaping
Both books make use of stones in formal and informal settings. There are many books on stonework we have checked out of our local library over the years but I don't have the author's names off the top of my head. The two above are good starting points though. Good luck! Karen

Went to the library, and I also liked the books by David Reed. So after looking at all of them, I bought his. He gives great step by step examples.
