| the brand i used was stone mason and was bought at a Menards. 40 pounds, and i was thinking less than ten bucks. it turned out great (in my opinion.) but i have to say the contracter that originally put it down did use a lime stone and mortar first. but that was VERY crumbly and looked awful. so in spots, that would be a sort of underlayment, but in other spots it had washed away. we've only had an approximate six hour nice shower, but it held up nice. i'm sure a downpour will cause problems. that remains to be seen. it set up great, but, remember, it is sand, so it will need touched up I'm sure. but it does look darn nice! aa |
