precision cutting flagstone for immediate pool edge HELP!

Hello,
I have a delima with flagstone. We just put in a pool and its kidney shaped which means big curves. We are using flagstone which I had shipped in from North Arkansas. Now the delima is this. My Dear hubby who we shall refer to as Tim the tool man Taylor demonstrated to my today how to use a circular saw with a diamond blade to score the stone and then he turned it over and tapped itlike he read in a book and it broke in about 5 pcs. Well, I told him I wanted to cut the stones as I am use to detail work and have alot more patience but I don't like that saw. Its bigger than my hands, hard to hold and I know I will surely cut myself so not gonna use that. I was wondering with a diamond bit in the dremal which I am very good with, well, can this cut the stone? I don't care how much I have to grind it and dont have a problem with the grinder but need to use a little thing like the dremal to score and cut. If not what can I use? It has to fit exactly because we have fiberoptics installed so.. HELP PLEASE!

Check out this HGTV page that shows how to cut curves in flagstone with a grinder. I plan on doing something like this in my backyard.
