Loose flagstone patio

Posted by jimbo_m PA (My Page) on

Recently laid a flagstone patio over gravel and crushed limestone and the result is good. My only complaint is that there is constantly loose crushed stone on the flagstones and sweeping with a broom only sweeps more out of the cracks on the stone. Seems like a stupid question, but are there any tricks to keep the stones free of debris?

We put sand between ours and that really helps.

Try polymer sand...WONDERFUL! It is a sand that, when wet, will harden like concrete, yet is supposed to remain flexible. We just put it in ours and I am so happy with the way it looks!
