 o
flagstone walkway in southern New Hampshire

We are going to put in a flagstone walkway (6' by 20'). I have received a quote of $2100 for materials alone which seems very high. The material quote is only for the walkway. We have old granite posts on the property which we will use for a bench and then 3 posts to define the back area. The total cost of the project (described below) is $6300 which again seems incredibly high. I called around and folks quoted me $250-500 for a pellet which seems right to me? I am wondering what others think of this quote? I am just trying to make sense of this bid? Thanks so much for all your help!

The walkway is six foot wide x twenty foot long flat natural flagstone walkway, with a brown tone, tightly fitted; the stones of variable size from one to two feet in diameter. The walkway will flare as it approaches the driveway. (this is the material we will need to purchase)
Construct a granite bench of aged granite already on-site, to the side of the walkway.
Install three granite posts along the front of the landscape, where it meets the driveway. These will really help to create a country feel, and set the tone for the entire landscape.
Total cost, high estimate: $6300.
