Can retaining wall weep holes be unclogged?

I have two cinder block retaining walls attached to the side of my home in the backyard, one 6' high and the other 4' high. I have no idea how old they are, but my home was built in 1952.

I've had several masons tell me that they these walls aren't failing yet, but could in 2-5 years. I'm looking to buy some time on them in order to save enough money for two new stone walls.

I've noticed all the weep holes are completely clogged. Is there any way to unclog them and keep them that way?

You could try backflushing them with water from the hose. Not permanent, but it could work for awhile depending on what was used for backfill and the amount of groundwater you have. Are tree roots the culprit? That's a whole nother problem.
