 o
removing mortar

We just put flagstone in our backyard and put mortar in the joints, since I got tired of cleaning up the mess of the crushed granite that we had planned for the joints...
And good ideas on how to clean the mortar of the flagstones, do I use muriatic acid, phosphoric acid or a cleaner called sure klean, without discoloring the stone.
Thank's in advance!!

RE: removing mortar

do not use muriatic acid! it will discolor the stone. I know that Sure klean and other Prosoco products at Belden Brick and Supply will work. if you call them or go there, they can look up the specific cleaner for your type of stone and stain.
