crossing for small drainage ditch

| We have just had an 18" drinage ditch dug across our back yard. We need something to lay across it so we can cross it easily. Is there a long rock or something that would look decent to serve as a small bridge over this drainage ditch?? |

| You can find long pieces of flagstone at most large stone&masonry suppliers. bring a tape measure and make sure you have a stone that is at least about 30' across. You'll want to get some gravel to be the base for each side of the stone, so that it is solyidly set into the ground. hope that helps some. btw, the stone shouldn't be an more then about $20, as they charge by the ton usually, unless maybe you live in a place that doesn't have stone quarries. Not so here in Minnesota. |
