Concrete pavers used like flagstone

I do not think or want to fool anyone by using concrete pavers that are 18X18X 1.5 inches instead of flagstone.
But a path that is over 300 feet long is costly even with concrete mold stepping stones.300'x12"= 3600"~18"=200 stones.
I do not want to try to make it with true flag stone.
Plus the molds are of abs plastic & will last for years if taking care of.
Can I tamp the earth, put down 2" of graver, tamp,2" of sand, tamp & place pavers, then use sand to fill in any cracks just like flagstone? |

Sure you can. If the existing soil is stable then go for it. If the existing soil is not stable (expansive clay) then just be prepared to re-lay or re-adjust it from time to time. |

| Thanks, it is sandy & I will remove organic matter, pack the soil to level & make it stable. |
