In my first year of growing in a greenhouse THE success was a tomato (not cherry) that grew to the roof and so wide I had to prune it. Never got one close to that large in my garden with 20 years of trying. I get two or three spells of 100 degree plus temps in the summer, the greenhouse has full sun and all I did was keep the doors and window vents open.

Oh thank you so much for sharing your experience with me. I'm very encouraged now and will give it a try. In fact, I came across a package of Aunt Molly's ground cherries in my seed box and I think they'd be a good candidate for this, too. I am so limited in sunny ground space, if I could put the greenhouse space to good use during the summer, that would be icing on the cake for this old gardener.

You may have more success with regular tomatoes than cherry tomatoes. In addition, having a fan in the greenhouse will help a lot, especially if you place it close enough to the tomatoes so that the air temperature around the leaves is lowered, but not so that the fan blows directly at the plant. This can make it dry out much faster.
