Has anyone ever thought of using mud as a thermal mass. I"m thinking of putting down a layer of blue board insul. with a heavy rubber base on top, than running a series of pvc pipes through it, packing it with decomposed granite (saturated)
all covered with concrete and flagstone.

The pvc will have either water through a thermosyphon system, or hot air through a hot air solar collectoir.
