Question about best direction for greenhouse glass to face?

I'm trying to adapt an idea on another thread here. We have a solid structure and a glass door. I'd like to build something and attach it to our sold structure, resembling this image with the glass slanted and able to lift for air, but it would need to face south or west. Which would be best?
