Circulating warm air downward

botanicalgems

I have a small room, 7 by 6 feet and 10 feet high. Near the ceiling, the temperature is 76 degrees, while 3 feet from the floor it is 62 degrees. I'd like to warm up the lower section, by sending the heat downward. I have a 16 inch box fan - what's the best way to position it? It's currently installed sideways near the ceiling, facing up. Should i face it downward? Or place it near the floor and point it up?
The fan is hard to move, so i thought i'd get some insight before moving it.
By the way, i could buy a second fan if that's going to make a noticeable difference.
Thanks!
