| I've been looking through catalogs and dreaming of "no snow" and wondering what people have had especially good luck with. From Johnny's I ordered the Partenon zucchini squash. It is said to be good in greenhouses because fruit can be set without pollination. Last year there was enough cold and lack of insects, that squash didn't do so well. I also ordered the Tasty Jade cucumber for the same reason. I hope they do well. I picked up a package of Burpee asparagus beans at the garden center of a hardware/home store. I paid $1.99 and there were 7 seeds inside. I then went to our ranch suppy and bought a Livingston package for 1.29 and there were over 100 seeds in the package! Quite a difference. Waitin' for spring. |

| I can only speak of the Tasty Jade cucumber from experience. It does well in greenhouse situation as does Tastie Green. These are moderately priced seeds for varieties that do as well as the high priced varieties. My suggestion would be to take advantage of the vertical space and structure framework to support the plants. A 4-6" mesh plastic web works well for me. |
