It doesn't sound like it would be very good for a hoop house. I'd go with green house film from Farmtek. The link is below

Thanks for the link. Way to expensive. Found some clear at building supply 70 bucks a roll.

The problem with most box store films is that they are not UV protected and the film will start ripping up during the first year--- not a pretty picture.

I used 10mil construction plastic that was not UV treated on my 14' X 10' hoop house. It lasted 3 years. This year i am putting on 6 mil plastic and it will probably last jsut this one year. I can't afford the REAL stuff either so I use what I can get. Both of these rolls were given to me so i can't complain! Good luck!
