Homemade coldframe opener

I don't visit this forum very often, but felt that one of my latest homemade contraptions might be of interest to anyone that is looking for a cheap way to automatically open a coldframe based on temperature. Although several openers are readily available on the internet for around $50, I made this one for $20. I have a couple of posts concerning the construction of it on my blog called "EG's Ventilator 3000, parts 1 and 2", and a video of it in action will be posted on the blog as well on 3/26 (tomorrow).

Looks like to me it will cost much more than $20.00.
Switching of the motor using limit switches to go from positive to negetive to reverse the motor is somewhat complicated.

Very interesting and good work.

However, I would shop (eBasy) for spare car window motor or windshield motor for this. They are inexpensive and they come with limit swiitches already mounted.

Looks good great use of materials on hand I think with a little more scroungeing he could have put it together for almost free
