Tape For Polycarbonate Panels

I am getting ready to add the panels to my greenhouse and was wondering what tape I should use on the polycarbonate panels? I did pick up a roll of Waterproofing Repair Tape from HD (is this a good one)? Also how many holes do you place in the bottom of each panel?

Why do you need tape? Mine are overlapped and screwed together into the frame with silicone between to fill any gaps
