Late on the GH, early on the vegies

I bought my GH a little late to get things started (I have some herbs started, but things like tomatoes need way more time)
In the past, I didn't have much time for the GH and ended up frying everything!
Now I'm retired and have the time to go out and tend to everything each day.
Our last date of frost is April 15. BUT many of the nurseries will have starts in the next couple of weeks!
Would it be a good idea to buy some starts and get them going (growing) in the GH now? I'm thinking of a month in the GH and 2 weeks either in ground (depending on the weather) protected, or hardening them off.
Thoughts? Nancy
