You probably want shade cloth. It comes in different percentages of light transmission.

Are you going to grow in containers? A lot of tropical areas have soil diseases that make it difficult to grow crops like tomatoes.

Yes for now in small containers but we dont now that diseases.
The pest we have here are bugs and animals.
but what should the temp be in a greenhouse like here?

If outdoor temperatures are okay for what you want to grow, then the shade coth will indeed do the job of keeping the heat in the greenhouse in pace with outside.

The out side temps are fine. Just protect your plants from the hot sun rays with shade cloth.
I would build a simple hoop house covered with 25%-50% shade cloth and cover the ends with insect screening to keep the bugs out.
In Florida a lot of growers have simple flat roofed shade houses with shade cloth on top and on the sides.

But I am afraid that the winds (and rats ) are to powerful down there so I cover with 6 mm poly first and then use cloth and screens for vents :)

Seems like poly would make it worse for winds, since it will catch air like a sail. What about heavy-duty screening, for both winds and animals?

I think the plastic is not going to get you toward where you need to go. As in, it will make it hotter inside and is really not a robust material. Shading and screening seem like the direction that would be more productive.

@karin .. it wont act like a sail cause its closed all around. Besides the vents, doors and windows and fans when no storms are around.

I have to figure out how and where to place it to make it sturdy but I will manage :)
