| Has anyone ever tried a manure hotbed in a container? I have a large plastic pot that I was thinking of putting a layer of manure on the bottom, dirt on top and covering the top with clear plastic over a tomato cage for growing lettuce this winter. I'm guessing I will need to insulate around the container as well and I was thinking of surrounding the container with black trash bags of leaves. Has anyone tried something like this with any success or would a container just be too small to hold the heat in? Thanks. |
