what are you planting right now? (veggies)

I just seeded 8 or so lettuce (buttercrunch & valmaine) last week, will do more next week.
last week I also started radishes (more this week, more next week, etc...)
I planted a 18gallon SWC of peas today, will do another one or two later, tomorrow maybe.

What else should I plant that can make it in a mild climate? what are you planting now?

Interesting weather info for my area

I am waiting for a commercial air pump to arrive and once that comes we will be starting Beefsteak tomatoes, lettuce, jalapeno peppers. First attempt with Hydroponics in the greenhouse.

I have seedlings of pansies, buttercrunch lettuce, a leaf lettuce mix, spinach and mizuna ready to transplant. In the next few days I'll start more of each of those plus some corn salad and a new mesclun blend that I saw at Lowe's yesterday. To my amazement, they have a fall display of cool-weather seeds (sitting among the Christmas decorations).

We awoke to a snow-white world this morning, so I am especially thankful to have my greenhouse!

I started spinach in my 12 by 18 high tunnel. 3 beds of 6 rows. I put it in thick, if some doesn't come up oh well, if it all comes up, Where's Popeye!

I also seeded an experiment. I planted leaf lettuce and spinach in half 55 gallon plastic barrels. If they grow well, I plan on pulling them out of the building late this fall and bring them in the house and put in a sunny south facing room and try to grow spinach and lettuce in the winter. If it doesn't grow, oh well. I already paid for the seed with what I have already ate from earlier plantings.

If the experiment works well, I may try to grow more in these half barrels. I put them on 2 by 4 legs and they are at a nice height to work at. I also have NO WEEDS!

Today is my birthday and I had a good time!

I transplanted 4 Delicious, a Siletz and a Sacramento tomato seedlings as well as 4 Black Simpson lettuce sprouts. They join a Sacramento, a Siletz, and five Mira and Legend brothers.

I am wondering what temps you are setting your greenhouse at night? I was going to try 50 for the night time temp. Bring it up to 60 in the am and hope the sun takes it up from there.

tominnh,

Not sure who you are asking but my goal is a minimum of 55. I have not been able to get that low using a kerosene heater - the closest I can come is 62 and that is with outside air at 41. And I don't have two layers of film, only one now (I have ordered IR film).

Even a blind squirrel stumbles across a walnut and I bought a 1250 watt heater/humidifier from Wal-Mart for about $85. Haven't put it in the GH yet because the kerosene heater is keeping it warmer than I need. But even at the low setting (750 watts with the humidifier), it is pumping out far more warmth than a 1500 watt heater I was using.

Almost all of my GH plants are tomatoes and they don't do well under 55 degrees.

We planted broccoli, radishes, lettuce, carrrots, spinach, and brussel sprouts. We also still have some Thai chili peppers growing from the summer. But now we have transitioned to our winter, cold hardy veggies. Click on the link below for a greenhouse update including winterization and what we are planting.
