in gound greenhouse

I plan on building a new greenhouse next summer
for lack of heating for the old one and the nasty cold front we had I covered my cheap old little greenhouse in wood chips up to about shoulder height
now my brains keep mulling over the idea of an in ground green house that is actually built against a bank
- I can not dig my new greenhouse 6 or 8ft deep, it would be a pool, not a greenhouse ;/ -
any idea, how to build such a structure without investing much money?
was thinking about treated 6x6 frame, tin roof on the north side and a tall raised bed instead of a southern wall
can I use pallet wood for the walls? how long will that hold up if covered with soil? how about a tarp between dirt and wooden wall?
I have a million more questions
does someone have answers for me?
experience with a pit greenhouse?
thank you so much
