I was given a small greenhouse last year. I really dont know what I am doing with it. I put all of my plants in last year and turned a heater on and watered them through out the winter. Most every plant made it through the winter but just barely in cases and in others they bloomed all winter long. Can anyone point me in the right direction on what and how i should be doing with this? It is 4x6 kind of just pops open and you have a little green house. I just need some basic info from start to finish directions. Thank you

That size is pretty small to do more than season extension or grow a few greens but it seems like you're on the right track. I started with a 15x40 and ended so far with a 30x96'. The bigger you go the easier it is to mellow the temperature extremes but harder it is to heat if you want to overwinter delicate crops. I transplant herbs like Rosemary and Lavendar in minr for overwintering and they survive very well but I'm about to hang it up for my tomatoes. Heat costs need to be weighed against benefits. So I guess I'd suggest against overwintering anything delicate and concentrate on maybe keeping a few greens going if that fits your needs.

Yeah, that's not much space. You could start your garden bedding plants like tomatoes in it in the early spring. You could also probably grow a few greens over the winter.

I know its not very big but what I an am actually looking for is the care of the plants inside a greenhouse. WHat I should be doing temp. and humidity and water ect
