| Hi All,
I need to get a fan to circulate the air in my greenhouse, right? I would like to know what you all use that is safe and dependable. I guess it needs to be moisture proof and what name brands do I look for? My greenhouse is 12x12 and it is about 10 ft to the top pitch. We just got the solar pool cover installed on the inside walls and it looks pretty good! I hope it helps with the heat bill this winter. Thanks for any help. |

| I think cheap wal-mart fans would be fine, as long as you don't get the motor wet when you water your plants. If you have condensation and drip issues, you can build a drip shield over the motor of the fan. |

| Agree with Cole. For my larger greenhouses I have multiple WalMart fans hanging from the framework upside-down. But for a unit the size you mention I would just hang a 3-speed box fan. I usually get these at winter auctions for $2-$3. These usually sell for $15 new. I find that they last remarkably long for the abuse I give them. I have 2 running now just to blow air over the woodstoves in 2 units I'm keeping warm. The one thing for only a 12' long structure is that you don't purchase a high velocity fan that you really don't need. That is why a 3-speed option might be a good choice for you. |

| Thank you for the quick replies. I didn't know if a cheap fan would work or not since it is a high moisture place. I have a wall mounted propane heater and I need to get the warm air out of the ceiling and down to the plants. Thanks again. |
