Need some help with an old attached greenhouse

Hi all, I have a "lean to" greenhouse attached to my house. It's unheated, uninsulated, non vented (except for a door and window at either end), cathedral ceilings, brick floor, early 80's plexiglas, approx 30' long x 6' (low point ceiling) to 15' (high point ceiling) x 12' wide, and drafty.
I want to turn it into a year round greenhouse. I'm getting a 400w hid on a track for additional lighting. I use a kerosene heater right now (it's my smoking room). I'm thinking about using a cheap misting setup and some box fans for cooling. I'd put up a shade cloth as well, but it's a tin roof that I don't want to nail into it.
Biggest thing is; CHEAP! I need to maximize my dollars, because I have no dollars lol
What else should I do? I'd appreciate any and all suggestions, tips and hints.
Thanks guys
