sync ON/OFF salt cell with variable speed pump

Currently my salt cell (Ecomatic ESC 36) and the single speed pump is turn on/off by a timer switch. The salt cell needs to be ON and OFF at the same time as the pump.

Now replacing the single speed pump with the variable pump (Pentair Intellifo VS + SVRS), which has it own controller. Any suggestion how to sync the ON and OFF of the salt cell with the motor.
