I need just the right sprayer to water newly planted seeds

After planting seeds, I like to water them with a sprayer. Most sprayers cast too fine a mist. They work, but it takes forever to soak the soil and my hands cramp up. The holes on watering cans are too big and the rush of water could wash the seeds away. Is there a compromise?

i use a sprayer that has 5 different settings. i put it on flood, then just turn down the water pressure so i get a good flow without washing the soil/seeds away.
