How to kill weeds

I saw this tip on a TV show, won't say the name but the host should wear pajamas. To kill weeds and errant grass, etc, any herbiage you don't want, mix up water, vinegar and clove. Put in a spray bottle and spray the plants you don't like. The mixture gets absorbed into the plant and will kill it within days. I have both dried cloves and ground powdered cloves. I am just looking around for an empty spray bottle. I'm too cheap to buy anything new. I'll report back after I spray.

RE: How to kill weeds

another thing that will kill tree stumps and brush is used vegetable oil. pour it on the stump/brush and it is dead with in days. i have used this method several times.

for general weeds killing, i just use my trusty glyphosphate, as it has never failed me yet.
