| We have a small house and have the opportunity to get a used air conditioner to cool our sweltering first floor. The only available window has a rhododendron growing beneath it, the top of which is about 1-2 feet below the window. It occurred to me that the condensate/water from the A/C might harm the rhodie. On the other hand, a statement I found somewhere on the web implied it might actually be helpful (we have tons of dry shade).

| Tube the "condensate" to the ground. You paid dearly for that water so put it to good use. |
