If the house has a basement storage area, I think they would be fine packed away on the floor in a corner of two exterior walls.
Those are typically cool all winter long.
You could cover them with an old blanket or something to insulate them from any room heat. Just keep as much of the storage container next to the concrete as possible.

If BradinIowa's idea isn't feasible, you can do what the old-timers did. (My mum grew up in Colorado, so she knew about winter.) This the gardener's version of the old-fashioned "potato cellar" where our great-grands kept the potatos and carrots over-winter.

Pack your bulbs in newspaper or dry peat or sand in a container with a lid. Those pails that kitty-litter comes in are nice, so are cleaned-up 5-gallon pickle pails from a restuarant. Dig a deep hole (Maybe near the compost pile or wherever you want a flower bed next year) that is about 6" deeper and 12" inches wider than your container. Pack the bottom of the hole with 6" of leaves and put the container on top, then pack all around the container with more leaves. Insulation, with the container being protection from mice and other nibblers. Put a bale of straw (or hay) or a big bag (packed full of more leaves) on top. Next spring, you move the bag or bale, lift out the container and the bulbs should be okay, having been chilled without being killed. If you are concerned that this isn't enough, find out how deep the frost-line is in your area and dig the hole so the conatiner-top is just below that depth, filling the hole with straw or leaves to the surface.

I have glads and never digg them up here in zone 5. They come back every year, maybe because they are against the house???

Their freeze-tolerance will depend on the variety, but I bet you are right - being near or against the house foundation gives just enough warmth to prevent them from freezing to death. I'm zone 6b and have had the so-called 'winter-hardy' bulbs die out even when under a mulch. On the other hand, I have some not-very-pretty (in my opinion) red-orange ones that come up every year, regardless of the weather.
