Painting Concrete

I love the look of a nice bright walkway (especially in the summer). The walkway is concrete and I decided to paint it white, it looks fantastic; however, it doesn't last all through the summer without begining to peel in certain areas. I have made sure to use paint for porches/patios. Should I be using a special primer prior to painting the concrete or should I use a different type of paint? Please advise (and hopefully you wont suggest I give up the paint job):-)

I jus finished painting my concrete garage floor yesterday. I would suggest using Epoxy Paint. Use one that is made for concrete,IE: driveways. If it willtakethe punding of a car, it will work for your sidewalk.
Also, make sure it is very clean and dry before you put the paint down. If there is moisture inthe concrete, it will peel back up. I used Rustoleum, Epoxy garage paint.
