Those plants are so easy to remove, I don't think I'd spend the money on a barrier.

I would use flashing to contain running bamboo, etc.

When your plants get too crowded or rove too far, just cut through the roots & remove the unwanted ones;
someone always wants them when I post them on freecycle or craigslist.

I always dig or cut them myself;
people who have all the confidence in the world that they know how to dig stuff up...don't always actually know, & they can stomp the stuffing out of your plants.

Please stop growing Mexican ruellia. I had it growing when I first had my nursery and it came up everywhere. It is very hard to get rid of. There are so many other blooming plants you can grow besides that nasty one.
