replacement Statesman 3 Tiller Clutch Cable

Hello, I'm looking for a replacement clutch cable for a Statesman 3 Tiller. I've scoured the internet, these forums, and haven't been able to find anything. I hope it's just that I don't know where to look.

A link to 3 pictures of the clutch cable is at the bottom.

Any ideas? Thanks!

(I also tried the local small lawn mower repair shop, he was going to "make" a cable, but later said that he couldn't find any cables that would be a good starting point)

Background: In a rush to get an area prepared for a new lawn, I borrowed a neighbor's old tiller. The clutch cable was sort of seized up and not working quite right, so I stripped the wire at the end of it to get it working. I figured I'd just buy a replacement cable later.

The clutch works in reverse now: if you pull on it, the tines are disengaged, if you let it go, the tines are engaged. I would like to return the tiller to my neighbor all fixed up, but I can't find any leads on a replacement clutch cable.

Here is a link that might be useful: 3 pictures of the clutch cable
