| Why not check with the local rental shops? They often have self-propelled sod cutters that will make short work of a tough job. Some shops will rent for a 4 hr period. All you have to do is guide it along while someone else rolls the sod into manageable lengths and then cuts them with a square-edged spade or an edging tool.
