Ryobi 790r trimmer

Good afternoon,
I have a Ryobi 790r trimmer I have not used her for about a year & found it in our barn so figured I would take it apart I don't even know if this runs.
I think I bought her in 2000 (I'm not big on weed whacking) What I would like to do is just change the plug filter & maybe rebuild the carb. I have been looking on the net. for parts but can't find what I thought was the ser. number for her (40A6987) but this number does not match any of the sites numbers!. Does anyone know where the ser. number is for this trimmer?
Thank you!
Will,

That unit was made by MTD for Ryobi.

Good Afternoon,
Thanks to both of you I'll have to check that site out I'm still not sure what I'm going to do!. I might just keep this as a back up & buy a cordless unit I'm not big on these two cycle engines & have had nothing but problems with this since new. I bought this at Home Depot cause my other one died & needed it fast this was in 2000 although it sounds like a while ago I have not used it much due to the pain it gives me everytime I try to start her so really it's like new but has been sitting.
Once again Thank you!
Will,
