Tree sprayer options?

I have a hose-end sprayer that I use to apply fungicide to my crabapples and miticide to my spruces. Problem is my water pressure is only 40-45psi so the stream tops out at maybe 25 feet on a calm day. This leaves the top 20% of the trees out of reach. Ideally, I'd like to have a 35-40 foot spray.

I've looked at a few trombone sprayers online and it looks like they don't spray much farther than my current sprayer.

I'm toying with the idea of attaching a sprayer wand to a Shurflo-type diaphram pump. Looks like a 2gpm 60psi pump can be had for around $65. I've never seen one of these pumps in action, though. Any idea what kind of spray range one can expect at 60psi?

Are there other affordable options? How about a sprayer that works in conjunction with an air compressor?
