Info on leaf shredders needed

If you have purchased a leaf shredder (not a brush/limb shredder) is it still working and what is the make? I had used an electric leaf shredder for almost 15 years and gave it away because the body was in bad shape. Motor worked perfectly and I wish I had kept it. The Flowtron replacement worked on season. Since I purchased it in June, it was out of warranty the following Sept. AAARGH!! The replacement motor cost as much as my original purchase and I don't trust the company's imported junky motors. If you have had success with another brand, I'd love to know which one.

My MacKissic shredder-chipper works just fine for shredding leaves. Its interchangeable screens let me select what particle size the leaves are shredded to. For rapid composting, I use the one-quarter inch screen. For mulch, I use a screen with larger holes.
