About 1 month ago,I saw a specialized garden spade on internet. It had a pointy nose w/ stepped sides, supposed to be wonderful for cutting thru roots, came in long handle or short w/ D handle. There were online videos of it by the inventor. I asked hubby to give it to me for Mother's day,but he lost info and I can't find now. Does anyone have any earthly idea what I'm talking about?

I think you are talking about a 'serrated shovel'. Do a Google search.

I think I saw one in an Ace Hardware and also at an Orscheln Farm&Home Store. You might call some of your local stores, because they aren't so hard to find anymore. Both of the ones I saw had long handles.
