I bought my first Mantis in the 90s in upstate NY, sold it with my home. Bought my second Mantis in Florida, sold it with my home. Bought my present Mantis Classic during late May, 2013 for my new Virginia home, and loved it until I had problems with the starter mechanism. I called today, and was told to take it to James River Equipment for service, but they never even heard of Mantis. Then they gave me the name of another dealer, who would not do warranty work unless he sold the tiller. The closest warranty dealer is 40+ miles away and the lady I spoke to at Mantis this morning said they don't want to send the parts to me as I may damage the flywheel. At this time of year it is just too far to drop off the Mantis fo r a 80+ mile round trip and another to pick it up when repaired. I was about to order some assessors, like an edge trimmer, but I am finding out that your warranty isn't that great!
