The engine is made by Echo, any Echo dealer can get one for you.

I am not so sure that the 2 cycle engine is always Echo. I have parts diagram of a lot of the Mantis, they do not look the same. They have at least 3 different 2 cycle engine that I can tell.

Did you tell the Mantis people what model serial number and ask who make the engine for them? You might want to download your IPL and manual first before you do further search. they have it on their site, I think you just need to match the serial number.

The engine is, in fact, an Echo.
I have the serial # as well.
I'll check with an Echo dealer and
see what he can do.
