Troy Bilt Horse 1 Gear Lube Leak

Hi, I have an older horse model and it is leaking gear lube where the protective main shaft tube connects to the transmission housing. I've looked at the parts manual and it does not show any seals nor how the tube that protects and houses the lube and main shaft for the drive operation of tines is held or connected to the transmission. Any help would be appreciated.

That's an expensive model. Mind if I ask how old it is and how well it has served you? I'm in the market for a rototiller but spend enough time at the shop with my Jaguar as it is.

Considering the cost of replacing a model like the Horse, why not just take it to a dealer and get it fixed correctly?
