'Gota' show my 2010 firewood harvest +.

I "Gota" show my 2010 firewood harvest +. If I can get it attached open, which is my goal, I will have accomplished 2 goal "quick and easy". The open Pic files d/n open when I tested and probably due to my limits. Hopefully my links will work (copy, paste in http window search, Good Luck!). I have found at least 4 cords of firewood locally per year vs purchasing since about 1987. Usually, I get the wood as I find it but when I have a choice itÂs during the cool weather before winter. This was my best or 2nd best restocking in two weeks (mainly live oak) due to winter storms in the Fort Worth, TX area.

In the winter of 1984, I cut about 10 cords in two weeks. This past winter heavy snow took out large Live Oaks due to the leaves holding the snow and breaking the trees. I accumulated over 4 cords with one pecan tree included w/o cranking my saw to haul vs to stack/store. Some splitting will start as I start burning the wood. The Pecan is very good BBQing wood. The other dark wood on the front row is a new harvest of mesquite wood to season with pecan for BBQing. Remember that the versatile log holders are built in this factory also.

You need some more work on the Photo Bucket Downloads lol .

    ewalk,

More work due to the links not opening or more work on sending open images?? I feel my problem is the free version of photobucket and it has limits. I have sent open images, which means I could be blowing the process (still new to me). Bottom Line! IÂm still trying to stay involved in too many things vs enjoying retirement (7 years but I need to stay involved). The job of trying to keep up with the computer technology led to me retiring. My machine technology has gotten old after 40 + years. IÂm working from the middle and trying to catch up on my fishing. loger

Always copy the HTML code and then the picture will open up here. You need to resize each picture to about 1200 X 800, otherwise they will be huge.

I don't have a good shot of my shed's wood pile, but it's 10 cords tucked under there. I use wood every day of the year for domestic hot water in the summer and heat in the winter. About 5 cords per year. All free pallet wood or trees from my property. Mostly pallet wood; it's easier because I don't have to split it. I have only a sledge and wedge to split.

Pasting the HTML code will result in this:

Thanks! Very nice Pic and life style. I stored a load of pallet wood last week to use as kindling to start my fires. My fires are almost continuous vs central heat during the winter. I hate starting fires vs cleaning and adding to a fires.

Are you using a free version of photobucket or other software?

I am subscribed $ to Photobucket, but I think the free version offers the 4 versions of code, one of which is HTML, and the only one that works as text

Loger , I Assume your having more success with the fishing than the downloads lol . I caught two nice Pickerel (Walleye) on the July 4th Weekend . One 6 lb and One 8 lb . Normally return the larger fish especially the Male since they are the future of the species . I kept these two since the fishing had been rather spotty all Week . I had returned numerous Small Blue and Yellow Pickerel and small Perch . I did nail a 12 lb Northern on the Monday , so I has a ok trip to Fish Camp .

Baymee: Nice Spread and good stock of Firewood . I usually cut 4-8 Cord of MAple and mix with a Little Birch and Cedar. I do the same as loger and get numerous Fir and Hardwood Pallets free during the Spring for burning also in the Garage . My Uncle was Born in Johns-town PA.

My inlaws, all 9 of them, were fishing up in Quebec all last week. They said the fishing was terrible and I guess it was because of the weather earlier in the year. Didn't even bring any home. But there's other things to do at the camp, like 3 wheeling.

Johnstown is about 5 hours west and a skeleton of the town it used to be.

Thanks bayme and ewalk for sharing. IÂll settle and finish enough projects to get serious with software soon. Since retirement life has gotten harder with too many options (volunteering and friends needs). I value my time outside and my past, which is holding me close to Fishing, Firewood, BBQ/Smoking and Mechanics/Construction. These have been my interest vs vocation. For now IÂll try to get my links to work until I go back and see what IÂm missing with the open image option. Posting the HTML code in my text might be my mistake vs sharing the code as a link (to copy, paste, and search). Is a copy, paste, search that painful to open a link?

    More Project Examples:

    1. I have not had many decent catches since 03Âs retirement (TX heat and droughts vs age, LOL).
    2. Building grills and BBQ/Smoking/Grilling has been a challenge since 1970.
    3. The present grill grew from a gas grill to where it is today over 25-30 years.

Photobucket must have changed their site. Now you go to the picture you want, click on "share" above the picture. On the next page, you click on "get link code". Choose one of the two for "HTML for websites". The full size and thumbnail are shown below. Clicking on the thumbnail will make it full size. It saves space on the forum page.

Thanks! IÂll do this before the day is over. IÂve done it but it was a hack job vs knowing and understanding the steps. Plus, I need to find the Free VersionÂs limits.

Chores are needed and calling this morning before This TX heat hits. Various experimenting out of the heat is a fund thing and good exercise mentally/physically. I have some small engine experiments after I examine a sky-light that leaked during a heavy rain storm yesterday. I feel it only leaked due to the nature of the storm. BUT! I must see why, document why, improve why, document improvement and publish improvement for my wife. LOL loger

Baymee: Yeah the fishing has been off all year . I would be about 350 Miles North East of the Quebec Border . Your Right J.T. Is nothing of it's former self . My Cousins have all moved to larger Urban Centres for Employment. Very Scenic area though with the Hills and Burgs .

ewalk, I finally got the info about fishing. The inlaws went to Lodge Domaine Shannon. It's on the eastern border of Parc de la Verendrye. The nearest village is Grand-Remous and the closest city is 75 miles away...Maniwaki.

Terrible fishing this year. Water too warm.

Bay: Your right , extremely warm Summer up North here . I visited Valdor Quebec back in the 80's for Pike , Bass and Walleye . Just back in town from camp last week . Went for Trout this time . Have a few Speck and Laker Lakes just a few Miles from Camp . Caught two Lakers 5lb and 12 lb along with a limit of Brookies largest 2.5 lb . The Black Flies were back in force. I actually had a buddy drop off his Husky 371XP for Servicing , so I brought it along for testing . I ended up Decarbonizing the Head and Replacing the Fuel Filter and Tuning the Carb and Sharpening the Chain . I cut a few Maple for Testing was surprised at how well balanced this 75 cc saw is at 13+ lbs. Made short work of the Maples . Well it's raining here up North off to the Garage on this Civic Holiday for E , have a Grass Trimmer fuel system to clean up still (hopefully) :)
