serious trimming

Hello, We've retired to acreage here in northern New Mexico. I have purchased an ECHO 280T trimmer which is supposed to be very good. It is, it has the right gear ratio, the speed head for replacing line, the only thing is the line simply cannot last here due to the amount of weeds and their thickness. I am using the Gator line, which has steel in it and yet even that is inadequate for some of the weeds here. I wish to reduce some of the sunflowers which we have in great abundance. I know this tool can do the job, but apparently I need a head and some other cutting device which will both a/ cut larger diameter weeds and brush b./ last while its doing so.

There are a lot of options out there, and I would appreciate it if I could get your insights as to what is the best option.

Thanks in advance
