| I have a sears walk behind chipper-vac model 987799610 and I cannot find the manual. It starts but dies out right away. I do not know how to to get the air filter off or change the oil, which I suspect is the problem. Can anyone tell me how to do this?

| The model number of the engine would help. |

| If you don't know how to remove the air filter or change the oil, you should probably hire someone who knows a bit more to get it running. Probably just needs the carb and fuel system cleaned and some fresh fuel. |

| I have an MTD and I emptied the gas tank then tipped the vac on it's side to drain the oil out the fill neck. Mike |

| thanks to everyone for the tips. I found the manual and took off the air filter and replaced it with a new one and it is working fine. bunny1433 |
