Jim, I wish I could help on your engine problem, but I am looking for a chipper chute for a model 250.5 WW Grinder wood chipper. It is a 1989 machine but runs well. Any idea who might sell parts for such a machine? Thanks.

how to re place pulleys

I need help getting this pulley off .I dont see anything holding it on no set screw or anything . I have sprayed with rust buster and used a puller but it started to bend the back pulley. any help appreciated. Thanks jim

Look 2 places for allen screws one under belt center pulley could be as many 3 screws there. Next take strong flashlight shine up center crankshaft check for bolt socket head screw there. If this fails the clutch be threaded on shaft back part turn and loosen. Next you need save starter forces by turning clutch brake threads loose remove sparkplug get 3 foot small rope pull crank rope out half way and feet 3 foot rope on top piston save few outside hole so remove rope later this lock piston so engine don't turn while trying remove clutch. The back that pulley has 3 holes a spanner wrench fit there.

The shaft is threaded on the outside. The clutch parts are held on by the hub nut (brown thing with holes in your photo).

If you want to use an different engine. Look at Hilliard Extreme-Duty clutches. They are Go Kart clutches that use a V-Belt instead of a chain. They come in many different sizes for different size belt widths.
