What's the low-down on the Earthquake Chipper Shredder?

Menards has the Earthquake chipper shredder on sale this weekend for $449. I'm tempted, but want to get the scoop on it, since I have no expertise in power tools. My top choice was the MacKissic Mighty Mac, since the shredding hopper lays down to sweep leaves into. But that's $799. Is it worth that much more? If you've used the Earthquake before, how did you perform for you? If someone could compare the technical specs on the two for me to shed some light on whether the lower price is worth the tradeoffs, I'd much appreciate it.

they seem to be sold out all over the web, amazon, chainsawsdirect, etc. There's a bunch of rave reviews at the TSC site.

I've been thinking about buying one, but not there yet. Chinese machine, chinese clone honda engine I believe, but there's a lot of them around now.

good luck,
