Have just found out about weeders such as Grampa's Weeder or the Fiskars models, where weeds such as dandelions can be pulled out without bending over. My dad (91) is interested in getting one, and if I get the right model, my mom "might" use it. She has limited use of her right (dominant) hand due to stroke, so I would like to get the lightest weeder that disengages the weeds most easily.

Have emailed the Grampa's company, but they don't reply. Can someone tell me how the weeds are pushed off the handle after weeding (hand or foot?), and your recommendations for a tool they might find easiest to use? Thanks.
